Erin Lundrigan capped off an outstanding golf season by capturing the 2009 Grande Meadows Junior Girls Golf Championships held Tuesday and Thursday August 25 and 27. Lundrigan shot a 40 on Day 1 and 39 on Day 2 for an 18 hole total of 79 to win by 6 strokes over runnerup Catherine Kenway who carded scores of 42 and 43 for an 18 hole total of 85. Lundrigan had earlier this summer won both the NL Junior Ladies and Ladies Championships to go along with making the NL Summer Games Golf Team which recently competed in the 2009 Canada Summer Games held in P.E.I.
Nicholas Dorey captured the 2009 Junior Boys Championship by defeating Jared Smith on the 3rd playoff hole. Dorey and Smith had finished the 2 day 18 hole tournament tied with scores of 102 with Dorey having scores of 55 and 47 while Smith carded scores of 53 and 49. Day 1 leader Chris Mitchell finished 3 strokes back at 105 with daily scores of 49 and 56.

Grande Meadows Future Links Program for 2009 finished up during the same week with a fun evening and a lunch and certificate presentation at the golf course.
