Ray Walsh Wins 2012 Club Championship

Ray Walsh captured the 2012 Grande Meadows club championship on Sunday afternoon firing a 35 on the back 9 to go along with 42 on the front for an 18 hole score of 77. Combined with an 80 on Saturday's round Walsh ended up with a two day total of 157 to edge out defending club champion, Barry Stacey by 3 strokes. Stacey who led after Day 1 with a 76 carded an 84 on Sunday to finish with a two day total of 160.  Matthew Hackett shot the low round of the weekend on Sunday with a 75 and climbed into 3rd place with a 162 total having carded an 87 on Saturday for a two day total of 162.

Judy Drake won the Ladies Club Championship with a two day total of 185 having shot daily scores of 85 and 100 for a 4 stroke victory over defending ladies champion, Betty Walsh who finished with a two day total of 189 from scores of 95 and 94. Janie Smith finished 3rd with a total of 95 from scores of 102 and 93.

Janie Smith won the Ladies Division Low Net with a score of 137 having carded daily scores of 73 and 64 while Jennifer Nolan finished second with a two day total of 143 having shot scores of 71 and 72.

Barry Stacey won the Men's A Division Low Gross with a two day total of 160 from scores of 76 and 84 while Matthew Hackett took second with a two day total of 162 from scores of 87 and75.

Justin Cluett won Men's A Division Low Net with a total of 137 from daily scores of 65 and 72 while Joe Drake claimed second with a two day total of 140 having carded 70 both days.

Bill Hanrahan won the Men's B Division Low Gross with a two day total of 169 from scores of 82 and 87 while Jeremy Cribb finished four strokes back with a total of 173 having shot scores of 87 and 86. 

Frank Hodder won the Men's B Division Low Net with a two day total of 134 from scores of 66 and 68 while Ray Warren finished second with a total of 144 having shot daily scores of 67 and 77.

Ches Kenway captured the Men's C Division Low Gross with a two day total of 175 with daily scores of 86 and 89 while Kevin Carvery finished in second place having shot scores of 93 and 100 for a total of 195. Ivan Paul shot scores of 97 and 99 for a two total of 196 which was good for third place.

Alex Hapgood won the Men's C Division Low Net with a two day total of 131 from scores of 71 and 60 while Jake Barnes finished second with a score of 143 from daily scores of 67 and 76.
