2014 Club Championships

Perry Stone and Judy Drake won the Men's and Ladies Club Championships on the weekend of September 20 and 21. 

Battling strong winds Perry Stone birdied the 18th hole on Sunday afternoon for a round of 86 to capture the 2014 Grande Meadows Club Championship by a single stroke over 2013 winner Matthew Hackett and by 2 strokes over Sam Warren. Stone won the Club Championship for the 3rd time becoming only the second golfer to do so, the first being Barry Stacey. Stone previously won the Club Championship in 2001 and 2003.

Stone shot a 79 on Saturday to take a 4 stroke lead over 2013 Champion Matthew Hackett and Sam Warren. However, on Sunday Warren battled back to take a 1 stroke lead into the 18th hole only to finish up with a double bogey 6 to fall back to third place. Hackett fired a pair of 83's to finish with a 166 total while Warren had a 2 day total of 167 from scores of 83 and 84.

Judy Drake was tops among the ladies. Drake had daily scores of 99 and 94 for a 193 total to win by 5 strokes over Jennifer Nolan who had scores of 98 and 100 for a 198 total.

Gerard Cooke won the B Division with a 2 day total of  177.

Robin Smith won the C Division with a 2 day total of 191 from daily scores of 96 and 95 while Sam Cleal finished second with a 2 day total of 200 from scores of 99 and 101.

Net winners included Tony Mitchell in A Division with a 2 day total of 148 while Ray Warren's 143 total was good enough to win B Division and Dan Walsh's 151 two day total helped him capture the C Division Low Net.

Anne Marie Ryan won the Ladies Division Low Net with a 2 day total of 140.
