Season Opening Best Ball Golf Tournament

10 teams of 4 golfers teed it up at 8:00am for a shotgun start in Grande Meadows Golf Course Opening Best Ball Tournament. Saturday morning temperatures rose to 15 C with little or no wind, an anomaly for Grande Meadows.
At the end of the days competition the team of Perry Stone, Wayne Wiscombe, Art Cluett and Randell Evans finished with a score of -8 to claim first place. Three teams tied for second with scores of -6 and the ties were broken by count back from Hole # 18. Finishing in second place was the team of Jeannette Lundrigan, Brad Russell, Tom Smith and Barry Stacey while the team of Eric Evans, Debbie Kenway, Dennis Hickman and Kevin Pittman claimed third place.
In the individual competitions, Ches Cribb was closest-to-the-line on Hole # 2 and closest-to-the-pin on Hole #3 while Barry Stacey won closest-to-the-pin on Hole #7.
