\n\tGrande Meadows Men’s Night<\/strong> held the finale for its most successful season to date on Saturday October 2. The Men’s Night committee pictured on the leftt and made up of Ray Walsh, Ches Cribb, John Bugden and Edmund Antle are to be congratulated for organizing which is gaining in popularity and numbers each golfing season<\/div>\n

\n\t\tThirty-two golfers turned out for the finale which began at 10:00am with a team 9 Hole Best Ball followed by 9 Hole of individual stroke play. There were prizes to be won on each hole for having longest drive, closest to the pin ,etc. At the conclusion of the golf there were several contests including putting and chipping on the practice green while there was a wedge contest on the driving range. Winners were declared in all events.<\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn the team category the team of Ray Walsh, Ray Warren, Deon Walsh, Gary Higgins, Ches Cribb and Walter Stapleton claimed top spot with a 9 Hole score of -7. <\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe winners of the individual play were Jim Farewell and Richard Kelly as well as Ches Cribb and Albert Pike. The winners of the other prizes are listed on the table below. As well there are some photos taken during the contests, closing dinner and awards presentation that followed.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNorm Croucher Award Winner<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe winner of the Norm Croucher Award for Sportsmanship on Men’s Night was presented to Ivan Paul. The Award was named in memory of Norm Croucher, a big supporter of the Grande Meadows Men’s Night who passed away earlier this year. The award is voted on by the golfers and will be presented each year in memory of Norm. Paul was presented the award by Gary Higgins who was a good friend of Norm's and who was helpful in getting the award set up.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table><\/div>\n
