\n\tBob Hoyles won the men's title at the 4th Annual Burin Peninsual Open Golf on Saturday July 23 by shooting a score of 76 over the 18 hole event to win by 3 strokes over Barry Stacey and Mike Russell who both had scores of 79.  Perry Stone finished alone in 4th place with a score of 80.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor the first time this year a Ladies Division was included in the Open and Judy Drake won the first ever ladies title by defeating Debbie Kenway on the first playoff hole after both ladies finished the day tied with scores of 99.  Betty Walsh carded a score of 107 to finish third while Jean Hollett and Jeannette Lundrigan shot scores of 109 to finish in a tie for fourth.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn Men's Division 2 Robin Smith birdied the first playoff hole to defeat Ches Kenway and Dick Hanrahan on the first playoff hole after all 3 had finished the day with scores of 86.  Jim Pittman finished alone in 4th with a score of 88.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn Men's Division 1 Net, Barry Stacey finished first with a score of 67 while Art Cluett finished second also having a 67 net while Kevin Pittman finished third with 68 and Charlie Loughlin was 4th with a 70.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn Men's Division 2 Net, Dick Hanrahan finished first with 65, followed by Vic Lundrigan in second at 67, Gordie Smith in third at 69 and Cyril Abbott in 4th at 69.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the Ladies Division Jean Hollett won the low net with a 70, followed by Jeannette Lundrigan in second with 72 and Barb Cribb in third with 77.<\/p>\n
