\n\tAnnual Fall Fest 2 Person Alternate Ball Tournament<\/b><\/span><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tOver 20 teams are registered to compete in the annual 18 hole 2 person alternate shot tournament on Saturday October 3. A brown bag lunch as well as many prizes including vegetables will be presented at the end of the event. Congratulations and thank you to organizers Jeannette Lundrigan and Marilyn McCarthy.<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

\n\t23<\/b><\/span><\/font><\/font>rd<\/b><\/span><\/font><\/sup><\/font> Annual Grande Meadows Invitational<\/b><\/span><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tMatthew Hackett came out on top at the 23<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/font>rd<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/sup><\/font> Annual Grande Meadows Invitational held this past weekend. Hackett had a 2 day total of 158 to win his second consecutive title by 4 strokes over 4 other golfers including Don Boland of Bally Haly and a trio of Grande Meadows golfers, Mike Russell, Perry Stone and Ray Walsh.<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tKevin Pittman won the B Division with a 2 day total of 170 while Mike Douglas won the C Division with a 185 total over the 2 days.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

\n\t10<\/b><\/span><\/font><\/font>th<\/b><\/span><\/font><\/sup><\/font> Annual Grande Meadows Bally Haly Challenge<\/b><\/span><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tThe 10<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/font>th<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/sup><\/font> Annual Grande Meadows Bally Haly Ryder Cup style challenge went ahead on Friday with 44 golfers taking part. Grande Meadows had a slight 6 – 5 lead after the 11 Four Ball Matches but Grande Meadows pulled away to win by winning 14 of the 22 singles matches while losing 5 with the other 3 matches being halved. The final score was 21.5 to 11.5 in favor of Grande Meadows as they won for the 10<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/font>th<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/sup><\/font> straight year. Congrats to the GM lads!<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tRemainder of 2020 Season Special<\/b><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tAny non-member can come and play golf at Grande Meadows for the remainder of the 2020 season while the course is open for $200.00 plus HST. A great deal for any non-member.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tGrande Meadows has a promotion for the remainder of the season whereby one person gets the opportunity to have his\/her membership paid for the 2021 golf season. Every green fee paying non-member will get a ballot each time that person pays to play at Grande Meadows for the remainder of the 2020 season.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tPlease note that the Grande Meadows Clubhouse and Pro Shop are open for shopping and Mulligans Restaurant is open from Thursday to Sunday. Check the Grande Meadows website for open times and the menu.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\tThis week's shoutout goes to<\/font> long time Grande Meadows volunteers Clayton & Marjorie Welsh and Keith & Gertie Howse. Both couples have been stalwart volunteers around Grande Meadows for years now. This past month have been indicative of the things they have been doing unnoticed for many years. During the annual Club Championship and the 23<\/font><\/font>rd<\/font><\/sup><\/font> Invitational held during September both couples were volunteering at many tasks throughout both weekends. They did a fantastic job of posting scores for both tournaments, making sure golfers got off the first tee on time, spotting on Hole #3 for the Hole-in-one contest, picking balls on the driving range, cleaning around the clubhouse as well as many more tasks. They did this all with a smile on their face and all golfers of Grande Meadows should be appreciative of their efforts. A very big Thank You to all four of you. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/td>\n
