14th Annual Grande Meadows Men’s Invitational June 11 & 12

Tom Curran of Bally Haly won the 14^th Annual Grande Meadows Invitational Golf Tournament on Sunday afternoon. Curran who was tied with defending champion Don Boland of Bally Haly coming to the 18^th hole on Sunday afternoon parred the hole while Boland bogeyed. Curran shot at two day total of 159 from scores of 79 and 80 while Boland had scores of 79 and 81 for a two day total of 160. Ray Walsh of Grande Meadows finished 5 shots back in third place with a two day total of 165 from scores of 82 and 83. It marks the 13^th straight year that a Bally Haly golfer has won the Annual Invitational. Day one co-leader Perry Stone of Grande Meadows who shot a 79 on Saturday fell out of contention with an 89 on Sunday.

Bob Banfield of Grande Meadows won the B Division with a two day total of 169 from scores of 80 and 89 to finish 6 strokes ahead of second place finisher Jim Farewell also from Grande Meadows who had a total of 175 from daily scores of 84 and 91. Vince Baker of Grande Meadows finished 3^rd with a score of 179 from daily scores of 91 and 88.

Grande Meadows captured the first three places in C Division with Charlie Loughlin having a two day total of 173 from daily scores of 88 and 85 to win over Dan Walsh who finished second with a two day total of 189 from scores of 97 and 92. Wayne Taylor finished third with daily scores of 88 and 104.
