Atlantic Golf Championships Day 3 Scores

The 1st Atlantic Golf Chamionships which were held in Baddeck, NS this past weekend have been completed.

Facing large and lightning fast greens, Grande Meadows golfers Ray Walsh and Bob Hoyles had their hands full during the championships. However, they represented NL and Grande Meadows Golf Course well in the Senior Divison. Walsh carded an 81 on Sunday to go along with his two previous scores of 80 and 84 for a 3 day total of 245 which was good for 6th place in the Senior Divison.  Bob Hoyles fired an 85 on Sunday to go along with earlier scores of 87 and 83 for a 3 day total of 255 which was good for 10th place. Wayne Ford of Blomidon who also competed in the Senior Division carded an 81 on Sunday to go along with earlier scores of 79 and 91 for a 3 day total of 251, good for 7th place.

The Newfoundland and Labrador team finished in 4th place just 5 strokes behind 3rd place PEI. NL had a 326 total to PEI's 321. The team totals were taken from the best 2 of 3 scores each day.

Erin Lundrigan formerly of Grande Meadows and now playing out of Bally Haly shot an 83 on Sunday to go along with earlier scores of 87 and 91 for a 3 day total of 261 which was good for 5th place in the Ladies Amateur Division.
