Hackett win 18th Annual Men’s Invitational

Matthew Hackett of Grande Meadows won the 18th Annual Men’s Invitational held this weekend. Hackett carded a 79 on Sunday for a two day total of 154 to win the tournament by 1 stroke over Ray Walsh of Grande Meadows who shot an 80 for a 2 day total of 155. Both golfers opened the tournament on Saturday with scores of 75. Don Boland of Bally Haly finished in third place with a 2 day total of 161 from scores of 78 and 83.

Edmund Antle of Grande Meadows won the Men’s B Division in a playoff over Ches Cribb of Grande Meadows. Both golfers had daily scores of 79 and 88 for a 167 total and Antle won the Division with a par on the 1st playoff hole. Chad Antle finished one stroke behind in 3rd place with a two day total of 168 from scores of 83 and 85.

Dick Hanrahan won the C Division with a two day total of 171 from daily scores of 79 and 92 while Gordie Smith of Grande Meadows finished 2nd with a 2 day total of 188 from scores of 91 and 97.
