Hackett win 19th Annual Men’s Invitational

Matthew Hackett of Grande Meadows won his second straight title at the 19^th Annual Grande Meadows Men's Invitational played on the weekend. Hackett carded a 2 under par 70 on Saturday to tie the course record which was set by Jason Hill of Bally Haly in the 2004 Invitational to go along with an 82 on Sunday for a 2 day total of 152 to win by 9 strokes over Perry Stone of Grande Meadows and Dave Wall of Bally Haly. Stone carded scores of 82 and 79 for a 161 total while Wall had scores of 81 and 80 for a 161 total.

Ches Cribb of Grande Meadows had daily scores of 88 and 88 for a 176 total to win the B Division by 2 strokes over Chad Antle of Grande Meadows who had scores of 90 and 88 for a 178 total. Doug Puddister of Glendenning Golf Course in St. John's finished 3^rd with a 2 day total of 179 from scores of 86 and 93.

Shawn Keating of Grande Meadows won the C Division with a 2 day total of 181 having carded scores of 93 and 88 while Dick Hanrahan of Grande Meadows finished 2^nd with a total of 192 from scores of 99 and 93. Art Cluett and Eric Ayers of Grande Meadows finished in a tie for 3^rd with 2 day total of 198.
