Kim Grandy-Baker Elected to Golf NL Hall of Fame
On Saturday November 23 at Clovelly Golf Course in St. John's Kim Grandy-Baker was inducted into the Golf NL Hall of Fame in the Employee (Contributor) Category.
Ms. Grandy-Baker's bio was read out by Hall of Fame Committee Chairperson Janine Fraser. She outlined the contributions made to the development of golf both on the Burin Peninsula and the province by Kim throughout the past 25 years of her involvement with Grande Meadows Golf Course. In her presentation Ms. Fraser remaked, "Is there anything that lady didn't do?" And concluded by saying that, "Ms. Grandy-Baker is very deserving of her Hall of Fame selection."
Ms. Grandy-Baker was accompanied by her husband John, daughter Kelly and some friends at her induction ceremony.
Kim was inducted into the Golf NL Hall of Fame along with Marcheta Gallant of Harmon Seaside Links who was inducted for her Lifetime Achievement to Golf in NL and Jill O'Neill of Bally Haly Country Club who was inducted in the Athlete Category.
