Grande Meadows

Course Update

June 26, 2020

Happy 25th Birthday Grande Meadows

Grande Meadows for recently celebrating it’s 25th Anniversary of opening. The years have passed by fairly quickly and the course has matured into one of the finest tests of golf in Newfoundland. Grande Meadows is know for it’s narrow fairways, thick rough and quick greens. You don’t have to be long off the tee but you had better be straight or you will have your work cut out for you trying to make par on any of the holes. The course becomes even more challenging when you add in wind which happens most days at Grande Meadows Golf Course. Below are the links to a few photos taken throughout the years of the area of Frenchman’s Cove where Grande Meadow is located.

Golf NL Update

The following update came from Golf NL Executive Director Greg Hillier who visited our course this past Monday.

REMINDER: 2020 Welcome Kit and Card Distribution

As we continue to enhance our digital platforms to provide members with a more convenient and seamless digital experience, Golf Canada is pleased to introduce a digital membership card that will be available through the Golf Canada Score Centre beginning Spring 2020.

To further reduce person-to-person touch points, we are eliminating the bulk delivery of the physical Welcome Kit to golf clubs in 2020. These kits will still be available for home delivery, but only on an “as-requested” basis by individual members. Golf Canada will no longer be facilitating bulk deliveries to clubs. Individual members can request home delivery of their membership package through their Score Centre profile on Golf Canada’s website.

Benefits of a Digital Membership Card

  • Instantaneous delivery of the digital Membership Card and PDF Welcome Kit booklet upon sign-up or renewal of membership – the membership card will be located within the Golf Canada Mobile Application and Golf Canada Score Centre

  • Environmentally friendly nature of moving away from plastic and paper membership packages

  • Ability to display the digital membership card and handicap record on mobile devices thru the Golf Canada Mobile App for golf related travel where valid handicap verification is required

  • Flexibility and convenience – control the clutter with no more paper – all membership benefits are now located within the Golf Canada Mobile Application or Score Centre

  • Elimination of the risk of losing or misplacing Golf Canada Membership cards

  • Less human handling of membership cards and welcome kit packages to protect against transmission of COVID-19 and other potential illnesses

If you have any questions about the introduction of the Digital Membership package, please contact our customer service team at 1.800.263.0009 x399 or members@golfcanada.ca.

  • Note: Individual home delivery of membership packages will be available until October 31st, 2020.

Please note that the Grande Meadows clubhouse and proshop are open for shopping.
