2024 Burin Peninsula Open Golf Tournament Report
Hackett & Cribb 2024 BP Open Champions
48 golfers teed off in the 17th Annual Burin Peninsula Open Golf Tournament on Saturday morning under slightly foggy conditions but the weather improved as the day went along and everyone was treated to some great golf.
 | When the dust settled there was a 2 way tie for the lead in the Men’s A Division between Matthew Hackett and Deon Walsh who both carded scores of 77 which led to a playoff to determine the winner. Hackett managed to par the 2nd playoff hole while Walsh bogeyed it so Hackett become the 2024 BP Open Men’s Champion. Joe Drake shot a 78 to finish in 3rd place while Jordan Baird’s 79 was good for 4th. |
 | Lacey Cribb shot an 86 to win the 2024 Ladies Division Championship by 6 strokes over Debbie Kenway who carded a score of 92, Tracy Blagdon finished 3rd with a 96 which was one stroke better than Judy’s Drake’s 97. Brenda Foley was 5th with a score of 102. |
 | In a very close Men’s B Division Calvin Brenton came out on top after carding a score of 86 to win by 1 stroke over Edmund Antle while Jackson Appleby and Kevin Pittman tied for third with scores of 88. |
 | In the Men’s C Division Frank Hodder’s 84 was good enough for the win while Art Cluett and Sam Cleal tied for 2nd with scores of 91. John Bugden shot a 97 to finish 4th. |
